Day 43: Centripetal force lab

The weather was absolutely beautiful today and I found Mr. Wise's physics class outside doing a centripetal force lab in the courtyard.

This lab is tricky to get good data (I won't go into detail about the friction between the string and the tubing) but students were giving it their best shot and were getting the chance to actually feel the force needed to keep an object in circular motion. As the radius of the circle changes, so does the force requierd. I'll check in with them next class and see how their data turned out.
