Day 30: Trunk Project

6th grade students shared personal and family artifacts as part of their social studies 'Trunk Project'. Some really powerful artifacts were shared, such as a copy of the Texas census from 1860 that we were told was the first to count African Americans as people. Other students shared family pictures or old coins and relics that have been in their families for generations.

The students took interest in each other's projects; I love when students ask other students questions. Great project!
