I always love seeing the kids engage in The Marshmallow Challenge. So many great lessons learned about designing, prototyping, failure, group work, expectations, success, and more that I can't even think of right now. As expected, nearly all groups waited until the last minute to put the marshmallow on top, which almost always causes the beautifully designed structure to topple over. What is usually perceived of as lightweight, a marshmallow in the context of a spaghetti tower, is actually quite heavy. Thanks to the 8th grade science teachers for taking this project on again this year.
