This is from Day 2 (of 3) of our National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) training called the Micromessaging Academy. I'm so excited to be leading not only another cohort of teachers through an action research project this year, but also implementing a campus wide initiative as well. To summarize in a nutshell, we are learning about ways to improve access and performance of women and under-represented groups of students in STEM careers. We are uncovering our own unconscious biases and being more aware of all the messages our students are receiving about who belongs and who doesn't. This is high quality PD and I can't wait to see what my teachers come up with this year!
